Oustide Kilburn Station Local Safety & Public Realm Improvement Scheme

Closed 6 Jan 2020

Opened 5 Dec 2019

Overview

We are proposing a local safety and public realm improvement scheme outside Kilburn Station.

Why We Are Consulting

Brent and Camden Council are working in partnership and developing plans to make Kilburn High Road a better place to live, go shopping, travel and socialise.

As of this, Brent Council is proposing to improve the public realm outside Kilburn Underground Station, creating a gateway feature, providing cycle parking and introducing safety features at the Exeter Road and A5 Shoot Up Hill junction to minimise the occurrences of traffic related collisions at this location.

Over the last three years, there have been ten personal injury accidents along A5 Shoot Up Hill   between its junctions with Exeter Road and Christchurch Avenue, with one seriously injury and nine slight injuries. These involved one pedestrian, six pedal cyclists and three powered two wheelers (motor cyclists).
