COVID-19 Mutual Aid Grant Expression of Interest form

Closes 31 Aug 2020

Opened 23 Apr 2020

The UK Government announced, “The single most important action we can all take, in fighting coronavirus, is to stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives.” Additionally three new measures were introduced:

  • Requiring people to stay at home, except for very limited purposes.
  • Closing certain businesses and venues.
  • Stopping all gatherings of more than two people in public.

Every person in the UK must comply with these new measures, which came into effect on Monday 23 March. The relevant authorities, including the police, have been given the powers to enforce them – including through fines and dispersing gatherings.

Brent Council acknowledges the support offered by some residents, community organisations and schools to the wider community in many neighbourhoods and we would like to continue to offer small grants at this time specifically to support the 20 Mutual Aid Groups in Brent who are delivering much needed support.

We will consider projects that do not contravene government guidance and demonstrate that they meet the criteria.

CVS Brent will be administering this fund on Brent Council’s behalf.

We will be looking at applications every 5 - 7-days and aim to turn around decisions within 7 days of receipt.

Please initially complete an expression of interest form below.

Brent Council will confirm whether the project is viable or not and advise accordingly. Application forms will be emailed for completion if expression of interest meets the criteria.
